Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a large hospital setting with 250+ beds
License:
Current RN license in a compact state
Certifications:
BLS (must be AHA)
Must-Have:
Minimum 1 year recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting.
Level 1 trauma experience is preferred.
Experience with electronic medical record systems, specifically EPIC.
Willingness to float to all Med Surg units as needed.
Description:
The role involves collaborating with other inter-professional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
The position operates within the full scope of nursing expertise and utilizes appropriate standards as designated in the clinical setting.
The unit cares for adult medical/surgical patients, including those experiencing behavioral disturbances.
The nursing team provides care in a variety of situations, ensuring the use of private rooms for patient comfort and safety.
Equipment utilized includes electronic medical records, telemetry systems, and various monitoring devices.
The expected nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights.
Staff may be requested to switch shifts based on the needs of the unit.
The environment requires adaptability to floating between units when necessary.
All clinicians must badge in and out of the facility.
Scrub color required is navy blue.
