Overview
RN Program Specialist - Office of Nursing Practice at Sanford Health. This role supports nursing practice across the Fargo region with policy management, project management, informatics, and evidence-based practice interests.
Responsibilities- Analyze and synthesize data to maximize utilization of data in clinical decision-making, business and strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate educational activities associated with orientation and ongoing training.
- Establish close working relationships with clinical and non-clinical partners.
- Promote optimal patient care through clinical activities and data analysis.
- Gather and analyze feedback from various stakeholders and disseminate the results.
- Analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtain decision on resolution.
- Plan and schedule daily work load independently; adapt in a changing environment.
- Educate others effectively; communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Build, manage, and maintain working relationships internal and external to the organization; resolve conflicts and problem solve.
- Work independently while recognizing accountability to the department and organization.
- Proficient in computer software and maintain high personal and professional commitments.
- Other related duties as assigned for the needs of the program.
- Depending on area of focus, program-specific responsibilities will be detailed in department documents as appropriate.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing required. Graduate from an accredited nursing program preferred (AACN, ACEN, NLN CNEA).
- Minimum of three years’ clinical experience related to a specialty (e.g., trauma, oncology, research, critical care).
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs; multistate licensure acceptable if in an NLC state. Maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications related to specialty.
