Department DetailsThe first 12-24 hours after admission is the most critical time during a patient’s inpatient stay. During this time, care is initiated and the patient will be assessed for other possible issues. The admission nurse position is being created to develop experts at delivering the first 12-24 hours of care. We value a team that creates a positive patient experience while delivering exceptional care during admissions’ most vulnerable time in the hospital.

- Plans and coordinates patient care, assessment, education, triage and various other nursing interventions
- Collaborates with colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care
- Empathetically cares for patients during all stages of preventive services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up along the continuum of care
- Demonstrates competency and uses comprehensive nursing expertise
Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including AACN, ACEN, and NLN CNEA. Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred. Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice is occurring and/or multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
