RN Triage - Children's Southwest Clinic

Overview

RN Triage - Children s Southwest Clinic role at Sanford Health. The clinic operates Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with no scheduled weekends or major holidays.

• Answer patient inquiries over the telephone, assess the severity of symptoms and medical needs according to triage algorithms.
• Guide patients to the appropriate level of care and schedule patient appointments over the phone with appropriate healthcare providers/facilities/physicians.
• Document information provided to patients during triage in health record systems; record patients  health conditions for follow-up care.
• Maintain and develop triage protocols; ensure patients  healthcare information is updated on time.
• Educate patients based on calls and provide information across multiple technology platforms as appropriate for the department.

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program preferred (AACN, ACEN, NLN CNEA). Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
• One year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs; multistate licensure under NLC acceptable if applicable. Nurses providing telephone-based nursing practice must be licensed in the states where patients reside.
• Within first 30 days of employment, obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.

• Salary Range: $29.50 - $44.50 per hour.
• Pay Info: $10,000 Sign-On Bonus available for qualified candidates.
