CHS is looking for a Maintenance Technician, Senior at our Sunflower facility in Fargo, ND. You will maintain all plant equipment and facilities as needed and as effectively and timely as possible. We are looking for someone who is self‑motivated, has a desire to learn, and works well with others.
Responsibilities- Repair and perform preventative maintenance on all equipment to ensure the most efficient operation of the facility.
- Work with outside contractors in a professional manner to complete jobs in a timely manner.
- Follow all safety and work standards for the facility.
- Be willing to work with fellow team members in a professional manner and promote a self‑directed and empowered workforce.
- Learn to identify problems on equipment and continually monitor equipment and initiate appropriate repair processes.
- Report all parts used to ensure appropriate inventory of parts and equipment.
- Review pending tasks and report work completed in computerized maintenance management system.
- Willing to instruct and share knowledge with team members to improve their skills.
- Complete an initial technical training program and participate in continuing technical training.
- Perform any duties that may be reasonably assigned.
- 2+ years of experience in Maintenance.
- Willing to be on‑call 24 hours a day.
- Use Microsoft Office programs.
- Be able to troubleshoot equipment, identify and complete appropriate repairs, and implement measures to prevent recurring maintenance problems.
- Complete annual classes as required on Environmental, Health, and Safety.
- Willing to take direction from others (management, co‑workers, etc.).
- Willing to work overtime when needed (breakdowns, maintenance shutdowns, and be flexible with work hours at these times).
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
