Summary: This position will be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of the projects are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through Superintendents and Project Coordinators.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review project proposals, plans and specifications to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project.
  • Establish work plans, scheduling and staffing for each phase of the project and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel as needed.
  • Read and understand drawings and specifications.
  • Establish a growing network of business associates, subcontractors and related vendors.
  • Confer with team leader or project staff to outline work plans, assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority.
  • Coordinate activities with project staff to ensure project progress within prescribed budget and provide technical advice to resolve problems.
  • Negotiate with the Owner and subcontractors on projects to maintain an efficient and well-run project.
  • Work with actual billings on projects and coordinate with Finance to ensure a smooth process on all projects.
  • Prepare project reports for management, clients and others and review status reports prepared by project personnel; modify schedules or plans as required.
  • Coordinate project activities with governmental regulatory or other governmental agencies.
  • Work with Project Superintendents, Project Assistants, clients and subcontractors.
  • Supervise Project Assistants assigned to projects including planning, assigning work, providing feedback and appraising performance.
  • Assist in proposal writing, review project proposals, drawings and plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project.
  • Assist in mentoring and development of internal talent.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Owners and other project partners.
  • Assist in directing strategic planning and provide leadership in business development and client relations.
  • Assist the Safety Department in enforcing the corporate safety and health policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge,

Skills And Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook) and knowledge of project management software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals.
  • Ability to maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
