- Pay: $51,269 – $56,153 to start. Additional salary growth available through regular increases within the classification up to $70,806.
- Schedule: Full-time. Must be able to report within 30 minutes during emergency events, including after hours, weekends, and holidays.

- Maintain gravel roads all year using a motor grader‑shape, smooth, and keep the crown right.
- Plow snow with motor graders and, at times, a tandem axle truck.
- Perform day‑to‑day inspection and repair of equipment; aid mechanics in preparing graders for the snow season.
- Make building repairs at outlying shops as needed.
- Oversee maintenance graveling performed by contractors and county staff.
- Occasionally mow ditches using a mower and tractor.
- Own your blade route‑set priorities and manage time based on road conditions; take additional direction from the Highway Superintendent as conditions change.

DO YOU BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS?- Class B license, and the ability to obtain a Class A license
- 3 years of experience in operating heavy equipment
- Experience in maintaining and repairing heavy equipment
- Knowledge of construction equipment and the materials used
- Ability to take orders and resolve problems
- Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs, stand for prolonged periods, bend, stoop, and stretch
- Good interpersonal skills
