Position Overview

We are hiring a Payroll & Benefits Coordinator for a large, multi-site organization. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys detailed, process-driven work, clear expectations, and supporting others through accurate and reliable administrative services.

Eligibility

This position is specifically intended for individuals on the autism spectrum. You must have a formal autism diagnosis to be eligible to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time
  • Review timecards, payroll records, and reports for accuracy
  • Support benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and billing
  • Answer employee questions related to payroll and benefits
  • Maintain confidential employee and payroll records
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and year-end payroll activities
  • Follow documented procedures and support process improvements
  • Collaborate with payroll, benefits, and HR team members
Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll, benefits, HR, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
  • Comfort working with numbers, records, and deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate clearly

Preferred

  • Associate degree or higher in business, accounting, or a related field
  • Experience with HRIS or payroll systems
  • Familiarity with employment and payroll regulations
  • Office or hybrid administrative setting
  • Occasional extended hours during payroll cycles
  • Fast-paced but structured environment with clear workflows
