What we doThe Revenue Cycle Specialist Biller plays a key role in supporting the financial health and operational efficiency of our healthcare organization. This position is responsible for reviewing and submitting client and payer billings in a timely and accurate manner, preparing and submitting National EAP billings, and identifying and resolving billing rejections. The specialist works closely with internal teams and external payers to ensure claims are processed correctly and efficiently, directly impacting cash flow, revenue recognition, and overall patient satisfaction.
In addition to billing responsibilities, this role focuses heavily on denial resolution and claims follow-up. The Revenue Cycle Specialist consistently works aged claims, resolves denials, and identifies trends that may negatively affect revenue. A strong understanding of payer requirements, claim rules, and documentation standards is essential. The position also contributes to special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned, helping strengthen billing accuracy and reduce future denials.
Qualifications:
associate degree or equivalent experience in healthcare billing is expected, along with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required, and experience in a mental health or healthcare setting is preferred. Knowledge of medical insurance payers, ICD-10, CPT codes, and DSM-V diagnostics is a plus.
