Be part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a team member for the ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high‑quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.

In a typical week, you will complete assessments and service plans. You will be involved in the organizing, directing and guiding of care provided by other team members, as well as ongoing monitoring and updating of service recommendations. You will provide skills training, as well as individual family and group therapy. You will provide crisis intervention and risk assessments in the office and in the community.

Also, you will provide education and consult to families, community members, interns, and residents.

The First Episode Psychosis (FEP) program is unique as it provides early intervention services with support from the SAMHSA federal block grant partnership and research that guides early screening, psychoeducation, and appropriate referrals leading to improved community outcomes. The FEP program utilizes coordinated specialty care (CSC) as a best practice model of care, with focus on individual outcomes. The team approach uses a common language and addresses psychosis symptoms on a continuum, adhering to a social determinant of health model.

You will thrive in this position if you are committed to working with youth and emerging adults, have a person‑centered philosophy, and are comfortable providing services in homes and communities. Because services are provided in homes and communities, travel is a norm.
