Position Overview
Medical Records Clerk – join the expanding team in our new state‑of‑the‑art 132‑bed behavioral health facility at Prairie St. John’s. This 40‑hour per week position (8 am – 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday) supports inpatient hospitalization, day treatment, and intensive outpatient services for children, adolescents, and adults.
ResponsibilitiesThe Medical Records Clerk is a valuable member of the Prairie family, helping to save lives, change lives, and offer hope for the future by ensuring accurate and timely medical records management.
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects, receiving direction from several stakeholders.
- Analyze patient charts, review requests for documents, and ensure appropriate documentation is sent to referral sources and providers accurately and on time.
- Maintain attention to detail and uphold confidentiality and compliance standards.
- Previous medical records experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and ability to work well with people.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, problem‑solve, and prioritize workload.
