40.00 - Salary Range: $17.00 – $25.50 per hour
- Sign‑On Bonus: $5,000 for qualified candidates
We’re seeking a caring, responsible, and empathetic Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) to assist with patient care for all ages in an ambulatory orthopaedic clinic. The MA will advocate for patients, collaborate with the care team, and help ensure comfort throughout the healthcare journey.
Typical duties include:
- Rooming patients
- Obtaining vital signs
- Asking intake questions
- Drawing up medications
- Preparing paperwork
- Cleaning and stocking patient rooms
- Prepping educational materials
Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am–5 pm; no weekends or major holidays.
National Medical Assistant Certification and ND UAP registration are required. MAIII registration with ND BON is required after hands‑on training.
Job SummaryAs a Medical Assistant, you will work closely with nursing staff and providers. Your responsibilities include managing patient data, supporting clinical tasks such as staple/suture removal, cast application, dressing changes, and more, while communicating patient information to providers and collaborating with the care team.
Responsibilities- Collect subjective and objective health status data from the patient or caregiver and communicate data to the healthcare provider
- Follow through on the patient’s plan of care under the direction of the provider
- Communicate the provider’s written instructions for care to the patient or caregiver
- Participate in care for patients across the lifespan in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, treatment, and follow‑up
- Obtain vital signs, prepare patients for examinations, observe and report patient signs or symptoms, and perform point‑of‑care testing
- Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Nationally certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (MA)
- Certification options: AAMA, CCMA, CMAC, NCMA, etc.
- Registration options: RMA through AMT; ND MAIII registration via ND Board of Nursing; UAP Registry if not holding MAIII at hire
- State registration:
Required in ND (MAIII); not required in MN, IA, SD, OR - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment; re‑certification as required
