Patient Care Technician - Orthopedic Clinic

Location: Fargo, ND

Shift: 8 Hours - Day Shifts (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm)

Job Schedule: Full time

40.00

Salary Range: $16.00 - $22.50 per hour

Sign-On Bonus: $2,500 for Qualified Candidates

Job Summary: The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs basic patient care services and supports activities within ambulatory services. PCTs are multi‑skilled to provide expanded services under the direct supervision of a licensed clinical professional. Whether seasoned or just starting, we welcome technicians of all experience levels who are self‑motivated, independent, and compassionate.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities:

  • Rooming patients for providers
  • Obtaining vital signs
  • Asking intake questions
  • Staple/suture removals
  • Assisting with dressing changes
  • Assisting with fitting patients for assistive devices/braces
  • Cleaning and stocking patient rooms
  • Prepping educational materials for patients
  • Assisting providers and nursing team as needed

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or GED preferred but not required
  • Minimum six months of experience preferred, clinic setting preferred
  • Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and equipment preferred
  • CNA preferred; must obtain and maintain required certifications; BLS for health care providers required or within first 60 days
  • If not a CNA in ND, must register as a Nursing Assistant within four months
