** This opportunity is within our Southwest Children’s Clinic which is a fast paced environment. The Sanford Children’s Clinic is a great place to work because you get to work closely with children and watch them grow at their wellness visits throughout the years. Our nurses work as a team with each other and the Pediatrician’s to provide excellent patient care.
Our Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Assistants focus on supporting our patients with:
- well child care   - medication rechecks    - behavioral health management    - same day/ill appointments   - medication and vaccine administration

Schedule:

- Part time, work 2 to 6 days a pay period   - Monday through Friday day shifts   - First patient at 7:50 - last patient 4:30   - No major holidays     This individual will be cross trained to our other Pediatric Clinic locations!
Licensed Practical Nurse or National Medical Assistant Certification required for the role.
** Summary
* * The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will participate in the implementation and evaluation of patient care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.
The Medical Assistant (MA) functions within the administration pre-defined scope of practice guidelines per state location of practice.

** Qualifications
* *** LPN:
** Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

If position requires IV therapy/management skills, the following is required in North Dakota: graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.

** Must be a graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program. Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Nationally certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (MA). Certification (CMA) obtained through a nationally approved certification program for medical assistant, including but not limited to:
American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association (NHA), Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) through the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), etc. Registration (RMA) obtained through the…
