Card Operations Intern

We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Card Operations Intern to support our Card Operations Team in day‑to‑day processing, customer support, and special project work. This role is ideal for a student interested in gaining hands‑on experience within a financial institution while working meaningful hours during the school year and potentially additional hours during the summer.

Interns must commit to two consecutive academic semesters, or one academic semester followed by the summer session.

• Sioux Falls, SD

• Perform daily debit card production (instant issuance).
• Review VAU and secondary name line reports.
• Prepare monthly reports for upcoming card reissues based on expiration.
• Scan and maintain credit file documentation.
• Manage and resolve returned debit cards.
• Process daily credit card payments.
• Complete reprints of credit card statements.
• Process credit card address changes.
• Enter and monitor debit and credit travel alerts (average 15–25 daily).
• Assist customers with basic debit and credit statement questions.
• Monitor and respond to debit and credit fraud alerts (Securlock Alerts; average 1,086 monthly).
• Field inbound workgroup phone calls (average 35 debit related and 46 credit related calls daily).
• Support project work, including credit card database cleanup and assisting the Card Operations team with standing up new BaaS processes.

• A student currently enrolled in an accredited university or collegiate program. Business, Communications or other applicable fields of study is preferred.
• Strong computer skills is preferred.
• Customer Service experience is preferred.
