Long-term Contract (Strong potential for extension) Power Electronics Control System Engineer Main Responsibilities
- Develop electrification control solutions at both component and system levels for a broad range of applications using a model‑based design approach.
- Evaluate control designs through analysis, simulation, Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) testing, laboratory testing, and field testing.
- Interface with stakeholders to develop control system requirements that support vehicle electrification solutions.
- Conduct electric drive and vehicle system simulations to support control system development and vehicle performance assessments.
- 1 or more years of experience in power electronics or control algorithm development.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape.
- Experience simulating power electronics, electric machines, and/or control systems.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills (English).
- Relevant academic research experience will be equally considered.
- Hands‑on laboratory or vehicle testing experience with power electronics or electric motors.
- Experience with Hardware‑in‑Loop testing.
- Experience with auto‑code generation and embedded software implementation on microcontrollers and FPGAs.
- Working knowledge of version control and Agile software development
- Experience with advanced research topics.
- Experience with power electronics hardware or software design.
- Experience with advanced control systems and techniques such as observers, model predictive control, filter design, etc.
- Experience with power electronics control and electric motor control.
- M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on power electronics and/or control systems.
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics.
