PROJECT MANAGER, TECHNOLOGIES — This position is based out of our Fargo, ND office. About Arch Key:
Arch Key is one of the nation’s largest privately held specialty trade installation and integrated facility service companies. Our work includes designing, building and maintaining electrical, technologies and specialty systems. This role involves managing multiple projects from start to finish, including proposals, bids, design, quality control, scheduling, problem resolution, client satisfaction activities and related duties, in alignment with Company policies and objectives.

The position may assist or manage job estimating, project budgets and contracts, job solicitation and project negotiations, and may involve training, mentoring, and providing work direction to other team members. The role supports technologies construction projects including low voltage systems such as voice/data, video and security systems, audiovisual, nurse call, distributed antenna systems, and fire alarm systems.

Day in the Life / Responsibilities
  • Directs all phases and activities of each project to achieve high quality and productivity, including project plans, quotations, bidding, budgeting, monitoring projections, equipment, scheduling testing procedures, and establishing goals and standards of performance. Ensures plans and specifications identify project scope and milestones and are shared professionally with all appropriate parties.
  • Prepares and manages project documents and status reports, estimates, projections, material release schedules, client information, project schedules, purchase orders, monthly invoices, payments, closeout documents, warranties, drawings, maintenance manuals, final billings, change orders, cost codes and other documentation to support construction work. Maintains submittal logs.
  • Secures subcontractors using standard agreements, binds them to terms including Company contract requirements, procures materials, negotiates with vendors for availability and pricing, and ensures documents are maintained in the appropriate systems.
  • Conducts job start-up meetings with field operations leaders and others, attends project update meetings, and provides day-to-day direction to project foreman or superintendent and design staff as needed to monitor productivity and teamwork.
  • Partners with project team to conduct site inspections and safety audits, ensuring conformance with contract documents and safety standards. Stays informed of new electrical and safety codes, materials, technologies, and practices; ensures safety programs and OSHA requirements are followed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in electrical, mechanical, civil engineering, project management, business administration, construction management, or related field.
