Shift Information: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Position OverviewAs a Technician, you’ll provide expert technical support to production and engineering teams, troubleshooting assembly process challenges and supporting automation/robotics systems. You will be involved in installation, programming, wiring, documentation, prototyping, and continuous improvement activities to ensure manufacturing excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for assembly tools, equipment, and processes
- Support installation, setup, wiring, programming, documentation, training, and maintenance of assembly and automation equipment (fixtures, torque tools, conveyor lines, PLCs, robots, etc.)
- Perform hand soldering and detailed troubleshooting to identify and address electronics/root causes
- Create/update MWIs and JDAAT programs, manage labelling and final packaging
- Interpret engineering documents, schematics, and diagrams
- Support prototyping, fixture/jig fabrication, and operator training
- Serve as the Engineering representative on Continuous Improvement Teams
- Review assembly layouts, identify waste, and recommend/implement improvements
- Assist with labor standard development, time studies, and line balancing
- Research assembly techniques and support process development
- Use MS Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint for effective communication
- Maintain product/process documentation and records
- Assist with development, balancing, and documentation of final assembly processes
- Participate in PFMEA revisions and ISO 9001 certification efforts
- Create PO Requisition s for tools/supplies
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and Engineering team
- Troubleshooting (hands‑on, root cause analysis)
- Hand Soldering
- PLC Programming & Robotics (including Fanuc Robotics)
- A.S. in Mechatronics, Electronics, a two‑year technical diploma, equivalent military certification, or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering (7+ years preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to correspond with teams, vendors, customers
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic components
- Experience with ERP/Agile/EMES or other manufacturing systems
- Capability to read and interpret advanced engineering docs
- Experience assembling/disassembling products and prototypes
- Intermediate mechanical abilities and ability to direct/train others
- Familiarity with Studio 5000, ladder logic for PLCs, and Fanuc/UR robots (or willingness to learn)
- Skilled in data research, tabulation, and summary
- Participation/knowledge of PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis)
