Base pay range$50.00/hr - $55.00/hr
Job SummaryThe PV&V Engineer will support the verification and validation of electric machines to ensure products meet safety, performance, quality, reliability, and cost requirements. This role involves planning, executing, tracking, and reporting PV&V activities through laboratory testing, field testing, and component teardowns while collaborating closely with cross‑functional and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute Product Verification & Validation (PV&V) plans and activities for electric machines using internal PV&V systems and tools
- Create, track, and manage PV&V activities, work requests, schedules, and program management summaries
- Report Activity Completion Ratings (ACR) and PV&V progress updates to leadership and project stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to define and deliver PV&V plans using lab testing, field testing, and teardown analysis
- Ensure electric machine designs meet application requirements related Pequos safety, performance, quality, reliability, and cost
- Support interpretation and implementation of applicable standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements for electric machines
- Deliver small to medium‑scale projects within established program management plans, timelines, and quality targets
- Create and maintain high‑quality technical and user documentation with proper version control and backup practices
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant technologies, industry standards, and best practices through continuous learning and professional development
- Travel up to 20% for local testing, field activities, or stakeholder engagement
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience creating PV&V plans, activities, work requests, schedules, and program management summaries
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with rotating components or electric machine design, testing, or implementation
- Experience with PV&V activity scheduling, prioritization, and execution
- Hands‑on knowledge of data acquisition equipment andşe instrumentation such as accelerometers, thermistors, current transducers, and vector network analyzers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of electric drive components such as inverters, connectors, and energy storage systems
- Familiarity with AI applications related to PV&V and testing optimization
- Strong understanding of electric machine design and analysis, including:
- Continuous and peak load evaluation
- Electromagnetics
- Bearings and insulation systems
- Cooling methods and manufacturability
- Experience with accelerated test methods
- Experience working with Windchill and Creo
- Ability to work independently, provide technical guidance, and support engineering decision‑making
- Experience measuring, tracking, and reporting project progress against intermediate and final milestones
