We anticipate the need for one or more Temporary Utility Helper position to be located at our Fargo Service Center, Fargo, ND. The starting rate of pay for this position is $28.69 hourly.
The anticipated start date for this position will be in January and could potentially extend for the remainder of 2026.

In this position, you can assist in a variety of job functions within Gas Operations. Work ranges from performing leak surveys of our gas system to performing maintenance, installation and repair of our gas facilities. These positions work with regulation, metering, odorization, customer piping, and below- and above-ground piping.

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license

• Previous construction or mechanical work experience
• Natural gas leak survey

There are two levels of gas helpers, entry level and advanced. In order to be considered for placement in the advanced level, the applicant must meet all requirements outlined above along with work experience in natural gas, polyfusion, possession of a CDL (Class

A), and operation of heavy equipment.

Placement within the two levels will be commensurate with the candidate's skills, education, experience and need. The applicant is required to successfully pass the Xcel Energy screening requirements, which include a drug test and security clearance.
