PurposeThe Curriculum Facilitator supports district-wide implementation of Fargo Public Schools' Strategic Plan through leadership in curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional development. This position exists to enhance student outcomes by supporting educators with high-quality instructional practices, curriculum alignment, and evidence-based strategies, while promoting equity and continuous improvement across the district.
Responsibilities Leadership & Strategic ImplementationPriority:
Essential Percent of Time: 30%
- Support implementation of FPS Strategic Initiatives and Instructional Frameworks.
- Serve as liaison between district leaders, school teams, and external partners.
- Communicate progress, expectations, timelines, and priorities related to district initiatives.
- Support resource planning, budgeting, and program implementation.
- Contribute to and communicate progress on district-wide educational goals.
Priority:
Essential Percent of Time: 30%
- Develop and refine curricular frameworks aligned to ND State Standards.
- Ensure consistent Enduring Skills/Essential Learning Outcomes (ELOs), proficiency expectations, and success criteria across courses or grade levels.
- Support a clearly articulated K12 scope and sequence that promotes vertical alignment and program coherence.
- Facilitate curriculum review cycles, course revisions, pacing guidance, and proficiency scale development.
- Ensure curriculum expectations are focused, viable within available instructional time, and consistently implemented across schools.
- Collaborate with PLCs and teacher teams to support alignment and implementation fidelity.

- Support the development and implementation of common formative and summative assessments.
- Promote consistent assessment practices aligned to ELOs and proficiency scales.
- Support appropriate assessment design for content-specific learning (performance, skills-based, or knowledge-based as applicable).
- Guide PLCs in analyzing student evidence to inform instruction, intervention, and program improvement.
- Monitor progress toward student learning goals and district priorities.
Priority:
Essential Percent of Time: 10%
- Design and deliver high-impact professional learning aligned to district priorities.
- Facilitate and support PLC processes, including collaborative planning and analysis of student learning.
- Collaborate with teachers, coaches, and administrators to plan, model, co-teach, observe, and provide feedback.
- Support implementation of curriculum, instructional practices, and district initiatives.
- Mentor and support new teachers in understanding district expectations, curriculum, and instructional practices.
- Master's degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or Educational Leadership.
- Valid North Dakota teaching or administrative license.
- Minimum five years of experience in teaching, coaching, or curriculum leadership.
- Expertise in curriculum design, instructional practices, and formative/summative assessment.
- Ability to analyze data, collaborate across departments, and provide teacher support.
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Experience supporting district-wide educational initiatives.
- Familiarity with Fargo Public Schools' instructional goals.
- Record of fostering instructional improvement and student growth.
