As a team member of ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high‑quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.
Candidate expected start date:
July 20th, 2026.
In the Child Psychiatrist position, you will provide youth psychiatry services and leverage the full scope of mental health and substance use treatment services—including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, behavioral health medication prescribing, and patient education—to create and manage individualized treatment plans. You will work independently and collaboratively as part of an integrated team service model.

Minimum Qualifications- Medical Doctorate (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with a Child and Adolescent Fellowship.
- Active unrestricted ND license by the start of employment.
- Active unrestricted DEA registration number.
- Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Board Certification or Truly Board Eligible.
- Valid driver’s license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new‑hire orientation.

LocationThis position provides essential client services face‑to‑face, and therefore the person in this position needs to be able to travel to meet clients at the appropriate location of care.
