Job Title:
Assistant Superintendent
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with the pre-construction phase, manage subcontractors, and ensure project schedules align with our goals. This role requires a strong background in commercial construction and a commitment to quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities- Assist with pre-construction tasks, including crisis management, site logistics, and safety plans.
- Manage and oversee subcontractors and suppliers, conducting daily huddles and coordinating job site activities.
- Help manage and adjust the project schedule, working closely with the Project Management team.
- Write RFIs and develop and track procurement of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure project-specific quality control requirements are met and update on-site documentation.
- Ensure budget alignment and address issues with the Project Management team.
- Participate in safety meetings, daily huddles, and Pull-Plan-Sessions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors.
- Support and follow standard work and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Project management experience in commercial construction.
- Strong background in estimating.
- 10+ years of experience working in commercial construction.
- Experience in healthcare, education, manufacturing, or large commercial projects.
- Construction management skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with subcontractors.
- Experience on large or complex projects.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3-5 years of construction-related experience.
- Strong verbal, written communication, and leadership skills.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and innovative thinking.
- Computer literacy.
- Preferred: two or four-year degree in construction.
- Experience in continuous improvement.
- Current OSHA 30 certification.
This role is primarily on-site, working closely with the project team and various stakeholders. The work environment emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement, with a focus on managing large commercial projects.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Fargo, ND.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
