Job Summary: The Customer Success Proposal Intern will develop a strong understanding of the Customer Success team, the broader business and the proposal lifecycle. This internship provides hands‑on experience through meaningful, real‑world projects. The role will support day‑to‑day activities including process improvement, project coordination, documentation, sales support and research. You'll gain foundational skills in proposal coordination, cross‑functional communication, content development and the tools used across the proposal management process.

Responsibilities
  • Sales & Proposal Support
    • Assist the sales team with organizing proposal materials and tracking deadlines.
    • Help maintain proposal templates and update client‑facing documents.
  • Research & Insights
    • Conduct basic research on Border States services, proposal offerings, clients, competitors and industry trends.
    • Compile data to support proposal strategies and presentations.
  • Communication & Collaboration
    • Coordinate with team members to gather information for proposals.
    • Draft simple summaries and client‑ready content under guidance.
  • Learning & Development
    • Gain exposure to proposal management tools.
    • Shadow experienced coordinators to understand end‑to‑end proposal processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Strong interest in sales, marketing, and communication.
  • Detail‑oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Comfortable with research and summarizing findings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn new tools.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to grow into a full‑time role.
  • Current student in a two‑ or four‑year degree program.
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, reading, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively plan and organize.
  • Excellent customer service skills include being competent, accurate, responsive and engaged.
