We're offering our Administrative Office Assistant a base salary of $42,401 - $46,112/year
, with the potential to earn salary increases based on performance (maximum pay of $55,907/year).

YOUR IMPACT AS OUR ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE ASSISTANT:With a dedicated sheriff's office that operates a jail, provides court security and services, and leads life‑saving special projects like search and rescue and snowmobile patrol, our community counts on us for safety and support. In this role, you'll assist legal personnel and law enforcement with essential clerical matters as well as help foster connections with the general public. You'll need a positive and professional attitude as you answer phone calls, respond to questions, and assist office visitors.
You’ll handle a variety of responsibilities, including data entry, record maintenance, and file preparation. As requested by law enforcement and legal staff, you’ll also tackle clerical duties like running criminal records and driving histories, sending fingerprint cards, drafting non‑criminal and traffic‑related documents, and more.
REQUIREMENTS- Secretarial experience/experience working in a professional office setting OR relevant college coursework in an administrative support program
- Proficiency with computers, typing, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn and master law enforcement software
- Ability to complete accurate work in a fast‑paced environment with moderate supervision
- Exceptional communication skills and phone etiquette
- Strategic problem‑solving skills
- Organizational abilities and task prioritization skills
- Satisfactory performance in previous roles
The following would be preferred but aren't required:
- Experience in a legal field, such as criminal justice
- Customer service experience
- Experience operating a multi‑line phone system
- Basic knowledge of legal and courtroom terminology
- Some higher education in a field like business administration
- Ability to provide administrative support to multiple people
