We seek a Tax Associate who can research and prepare required tax returns, assist with monthly billing, maintain internal tax tables, support audits, and manage special tax projects.
Responsibilities- Research and prepare required tax and informational returns, including but not limited to:
- Sales and use tax
- Unclaimed property
- Corporation census reports
- Corporation annual reports
- Assist with monthly billing processes, including gathering data, preparing reports and finalizing schedules for store billing
- Maintain internal taxability tables by researching product classifications and updating tax rules to ensure accurate tax treatment for all SKUs across states and jurisdictions
- Assist with research required for tax audits, inquiries and notices
- Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process
- Provide support with various internal audits and special tax related projects
- Demonstrate strong communication, organization, attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
- Protect operations by keeping financial information confidential

Education & ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related business field.
Physical Requirements / Lifting RequirementsMust be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may require walking or standing for brief periods. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
