Within our Facilities Management division, the Southwest Core team plays a crucial role in the day‑to‑day delivery of reactive and preventative works across a diverse range of properties and systems within our client’s sites.

As a Plumber within the team, you will be expected to provide comprehensive repairs and maintenance to a range of both commercial and domestic plumbing & heating applications. Reporting directly into the Contracts Manager, the Plumber will take a hands‑on and customer‑facing role in the delivery of commercial contract works, covering the following:

• Carry out maintenance of heating installations of all types in domestic and commercial buildings, including boilers, pipelines, valves, pumps, control gear, and other associated equipment, fully conversant with all aspects of the heating systems in line with technical qualifications held.
• Carry out installation and maintenance of plumbing, drainage, and sanitation installations of all types in domestic and commercial buildings and be fully conversant with all aspects of these systems.
• Undertake fault‑finding diagnosis, problem solving, and analysis of plant operation pertaining to the operation and efficacy of the installed mechanical systems (including plumbing, drainage, heating, and HVAC systems).
• Carry out relevant testing and certification of mechanical plant and systems in accordance with all appropriate regulations and within the remit of the postholder’s relevant qualifications.

• Act in the best interests of BJF when on site and dealing with Clients.
