Fabric Engineer

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Fabric Engineer to join our team for a contract based in Fareham. This role is essential for maintaining the building fabric and ensuring a safe, professional environment within a high‑profile government facility.

• Pay Rate: GBP
  18.50 per hour (PAYE)
• Hours:
  
  40 hours per week
• Contract Start: 23rd February 2026
• Shift Patterns:
  Flexible to work two rotating shift patterns
• Early Shift: 07:00 – 15:30
• Late Shift: 09:30 – 18:00
• Includes a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break

• Building Maintenance:
  Execute day‑to‑day fabric maintenance and minor repairs to ensure the site remains in top condition and fully operational.
• Safety and Standards:
  Conduct regular inspections and reactive repairs in accordance with health, safety, and site‑specific protocols.
• Facility Support:
  Address general building fabric issues including carpentry, painting, and basic mechanical tasks as required by the maintenance team.

• Security Vetting:
  Must hold a valid Basic DBS certificate issued within the last 3 months.
• Site Vetting:
  Must be able to pass a specific vetting process required for unescorted access to a secure site.
• Technical Proficiency:
  Proven experience in fabric maintenance within a commercial or professional office setting.
