Legal Assistant - Conveyancing

A fantastic and very well established local name with offices across the region is seeking a further Conveyancing Assistant for what is a very well run team with many different levels of expertise and potential to progress.

The role would suit an individual with previously acquired conveyancing expertise seeking change within a well run legal support team, with some fantastic conveyancers and partners, some of which started out within the junior ranks of the firm itself.

The position requires a good understanding of the conveyancing progress concerning matters in relation to leasehold / freehold property purchases and sales, remortgages, transfer of equity, lease extensions and shared ownership work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist conveyancers in managing property transactions from start to finish.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, and mortgage documents.
  • Conduct property searches and obtain necessary information from local authorities.
  • Liaise with all parties involved in the transaction, clients, estate agents, solicitors and other organisations.
  • Maintain the file, accurate records of transactions and ensure compliance with legal requirements.

Skills

  • Previous experience in a conveyancing team
  • Good written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
