We are seeking an experienced hands‑on IT Manager to join our IT team in Fareham, Hampshire. The role blends technical support, light management, and continuous improvement to elevate our IT operations.
Job SummaryAs IT Manager, you will oversee a small team, manage day‑to‑day IT operations, liaise with enterprise IT, and support users across Raymarine’s marine electronics portfolio. You will be responsible for ticket escalation, KPI monitoring, compliance with corporate governance, and improving IT service delivery.
Responsibilities- Manage a team of 4 IT staff members.
- Oversee day‑to‑day IT operations and maintenance.
- Monitor IT KPIs and tickets, escalating issues when necessary.
- Liaise between the local site and Enterprise IT teams (Infrastructure, Apps, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with enterprise standards and corporate governance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to meet local IT needs.
- Provide onsite IT support for Raymarine, troubleshooting and resolving incidents.
- Support end‑user equipment (PCs, laptops, mobile devices) and IT infrastructure (printers, networking, servers, switches).
- Perform new user configuration and Active Directory management.
- Coordinate with hardware and software vendors for issue resolution.
- Maintain the onsite server room and comms racks to enterprise standards.
- Manage Active Directory OUs, users, groups, and objects.
- At least 5 years of IT support experience.
- Experience with incident management systems such as Service Now.
- Previous team leader or manager role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and domain management.
- Understanding of audit processes and compliance frameworks.
- Solid grasp of Microsoft Office products and troubleshooting unfamiliar systems.
- Experience supporting a manufacturing environment (ITIL, ERP/MRP, CAD).
- Prior CAD or engineering application experience is desirable.
- Excellent technical expertise combined with strategic thinking and people leadership.
- Efficient time management, multitasking, and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and work well in a team.
- Self‑motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to provide out‑of‑hours support when required.
