Overview

As a Bank Care Assistant at a Barchester care home, you'll help residents enjoy each day by ensuring they receive quality care and support. You’ll assist with daily living, provide support and companionship, and share great moments and memories. Every day is different, offering varied and rewarding work. You could be doing anything from supporting residents with their food and drink and following care plans to ensuring that each resident has one-to-one time.

• Support residents with daily living activities and provide care as outlined in individual care plans.
• Assist with feeding, hydration, and maintaining dignity and comfort during routines.
• Offer companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities to enhance quality of life.
• Ensure one-to-one time with residents, respecting privacy and preferences.
• Document observations and communicate with the care team to maintain continuity of care.

• Experience caring for older people is preferred.
• A can-do approach with excellent communication skills.
• Empathy, warm-heartedness, and the compassion needed to deliver high-quality care and support.
• Willingness to participate in training to thrive in the role.
