Occupational Therapy Specialist Practitioner

If that sounds like something you interested in, the Occupational Therapy service at Ravenswood House are looking for Band 6 OT.

We seek a passionate, dynamic Occupational Therapist to provide excellent care for male service users in a mental health, forensic, medium and low secure setting.

Forensics is such an interesting field of practice. We work collaboratively with service users with a risk history to help them live safely and reintegrate into the community.

You would be working in the inpatient hospital and accessing the local community, to support service users to develop and maintain functional skills through the use of the OT process. There are opportunities to build links with external agencies and step-down support to enable service users to thrive within the least restrictive level of security.

You will use standardised and non-standardised assessments and models of practice to assess the needs of the service users and provide occupational therapy treatment. You will have the chance to be involved in service development projects and explore areas of interest that fit the role of an OT. You will have responsibility for the support and development of occupational therapy assistants and provide regular supervision and appraisal.
