Overview
Our aerospace client in Titchfield is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to join their team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to support a site transitioning to a brand‑new, purpose-built, state‑of‑the‑art facility. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and executing measurement programs to ensure components meet strict aerospace engineering and quality standards.
Offering a PAYE contract paying £38ph PAYE + holiday, or have the holiday included in your hourly rate £43.52ph
(Equivalent to £50.49ph UMB/LTD)
Key Responsibilities
Develop, edit, and optimise CMM programs using PC-DMIS and Aberlink software.
Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections using CMM equipment.
Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) requirements.
Set up, calibrate, and maintain CMM machines and associated metrology equipment.
Analyse measurement data and compile accurate inspection reports.
Work closely with machinists, quality engineers, inspectors, and manufacturing teams to resolve measurement or dimensional concerns.
Support continuous improvement within inspection and metrology processes.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience as a CMM Programmer within aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
Strong working knowledge of PC‑DMIS and Aberlink CMM programming software.
Solid understanding of metrology principles, GD&T, and dimensional inspection methodologies.
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and 3D models.
Competent with calibration, inspection techniques, and measurement equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve dimensional issues.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate documentation.
Eligibility
Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK without restriction and meet ITAR compliance requirements
