SEN LEARNING SUPPORT COACH - FAREHAM
Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated, patient, and resilient SEN Learning Support Coaches to join a special school in Fareham for secondary‑aged students who experience learning difficulties, autism, sensory needs, and language challenges.
This nurturing and highly specialist setting offers a deeply rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils who require consistent, personalised, and holistic support. Key Responsibilities- Providing tailored support to pupils with learning difficulties, autism, sensory needs, and language challenges
- Supporting students with additional needs such as Down Syndrome and non‑verbal communication
- Using communication aids such as Makaton, PECS, visual supports, and other alternative communication systems
- Assisting in creative, therapeutic, sensory‑based, and inclusive learning activities
- Promoting safety, emotional wellbeing, and positive engagement throughout the school day
- Supporting pupils with daily routines, emotional regulation, communication, and developing independence
- Using clear, consistent communication to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families

Working Hours:
08:30 - 15:30
Pay Rate:
From £13.96 per hour
- Have the Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
- Provide professional references covering the last 24 months, ideally involving work with children or vulnerable individuals
- Hold a Level 2/3 qualification in childcare, education, health & social care, or have relevant SEN experience
- Free accredited CPD, including safeguarding, behaviour management, and de‑escalation
- Access to our specialist in‑house Training and Development Team
- Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant experienced in SEN and complex‑needs settings
