Seasonal Position Starting Mid-January 2026 – Experienced Preparers for Sandwich Location

Our family-owned H&R Block franchise, with offices in Falmouth, Mashpee, and Sandwich on Cape Cod, is hiring experienced Tax Professionals for one of our Sandwich offices. This recurring, seasonal role (mid-January through April - or possibly year round) is ideal for client-focused professionals with proven tax preparation expertise and a commitment to accuracy and service.

In this fast-paced, rewarding position, you ll conduct in-person tax interviews, prepare complete and accurate returns, and help clients navigate their financial decisions confidently—while benefiting from advanced training and the opportunity to build your expertise in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct face-to-face tax interviews with clients
• Prepare and review accurate federal, state, and local tax returns (in-person and drop-off)
• Offer appropriate products and services to meet client needs
• Maintain client confidentiality and provide professional guidance
• Mentor or support team members as needed during peak season

What We re Looking For:

• Proven experience preparing individual tax returns (extensive experience preferred)
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced tax office
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) for effective client interactions
• Proficiency with tax preparation software and Windows-based systems
• Eligibility to meet IRS requirements (e.g., PTIN) and commitment to continuing education (CE)

Ideal Candidates Have:

• Background in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or related fields (preferred but not required)
• Track record of handling diverse returns and complex situations
• Interest in ongoing professional development and potential for advancement

This is an independently owned and operated franchise. Compensation is competitive and based on experience, commitment, and anticipated volume—higher rates and potential performance bonuses available for seasoned professionals managing heavy workloads.
