Overview

Falmouth Athletics is seeking a candidate for the position of Head Varsity Football Coach.

Responsibilities
  • A dynamic and proven leader who builds, sustains, and elevates a positive, disciplined, and inclusive program culture.
  • Extensive knowledge of football fundamentals, systems, and game strategy, with the ability to teach, adapt, and compete at a high level.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement purposeful, skill-based practice plans that maximize player development, strategic understanding, and efficient use of time.
  • Strong commitment to academic accountability, character development, and citizenship, ensuring student-athletes grow both on and off the field.
  • Ability to effectively manage and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, including student-athletes, parents, assistant coaches, school administrators, boosters, and community members.

Qualifications

Interested candidates should have or be able to obtain the following:
Maine State Fingerprinting, Falmouth Public Schools background check, First Aid, CPR, AED, Concussion and suicide prevention training. Coaches will also have to pass the NFHS Coaching Principles course. Other training may be required at the request of the athletic director and/or district.

Additional

The season will run from August 17, 2026 to November 30, 2026.
