- Oversees Service Department and provides leadership and direction to achieve company objectives
- Manage growth strategies that are in line with company goals and objectives
- Participate in the preparation and administration of the annual operating budget
- Promotes harmony and teamwork within and across all departments
- Participate in the preparation of marketing plans to attract new and repeat business.
- Adheres to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations impacting operations.
- Oversee recruitment, hiring, termination, training, and yearly performance evaluations for all service personnel
- Develop efficient service team including service advisors, shop and mobile service technicians
- Ensure quality control to meet customer satisfaction and comply with OEM and industry standards.
- Understand and promote safety, environmental and company policies
- Promote and uphold a high standard of professionalism within the workplace.
- Plan, monitor, and evaluate productivity and financial goals on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, and make adjustments as necessary.
- Engage in company provided training and education to stay updated on operational, technical, and strategic needs for excellent customer service
- Assist service advisors and parts personnel with job scheduling, preparing quotes, and handling customer interactions.
- A minimum of five years of relevant dealership management experience in the areas of heavy-duty truck, bus, and/or transport refrigeration service
- Understanding of fundamental business systems, financial principles, and practices
- Facilitate relationships with customers, manufacturers, vendors, and suppliers
- Proficient with computer operation/usage
- Demonstrates exceptional skills in problem-solving, administration, and management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Normal shift hours:
Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional after hours phone support as needed
