Logistics / Supply Chain Intern – Summer 2026

Through a combination of growth and acquisitions, Silvi Materials have together become one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of concrete products in the Northeast, US. Today, the Silvi Materials manufacture concrete at multiple locations and supplies those plants with materials from Silvi owned mining operations and deep-water port facility.

As a Silvi Materials Logistics Intern
, you will have the opportunity to tap into the world of concrete/construction materials logistics. You will report to our experienced Logistics Director. Your 10-12-week experience will include everything from Field/Client Visits, Dispatching Drivers to client sites while also learning about different Concrete Mixes!

• Assist in the dispatching of hundreds of drivers within our different products – Ready Mix Concrete, Bulk Cement and Aggregate. (More than just Concrete!)
• Provide stellar customer service to our clients and addressing any issues and concerns. (Commitment to Excellence)
• Ensure successful scheduled deliveries with our drivers.
• Communicate via a two-way radio system.
• Work closely with other fellow departments such as Operations, Quality Control and Sales! (Team Driven Environment)
• Learn the different mix types and their best uses (Concrete Mix Knowledge).
• Field Visits to other Silvi Plants and Client Sites (Silvi Exposure).

• Enrollment or achievement of a collegiate program preferably in the fields of Logistics, Supply Chain, Concrete Industry Management or similar field required.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule as per operational need of typically 10-12-hour days and some Saturdays.

• Lift 20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds on occasion.
• Use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects.
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Kneel, stoop, crouch, bend, stretch, twist or crawl.
• Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them.
• See details of objects that are less than a few feet away.
• See differences between colors, shades, and brightness.
