About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced
Landscape Operations Manager
to lead and oversee our day-to-day field operations. This role is critical to delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality landscape maintenance and installation services while maintaining strong client relationships and supporting company growth.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with deep landscaping knowledge, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to manage multiple crews, job sites, and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Operations & Crew Leadership- Manage multiple landscape crews across maintenance, lawn care, and installation projects
- Plan and coordinate daily and weekly schedules for mowing, turf maintenance, hardscaping, and plant installations
- Conduct regular job site visits to ensure quality, productivity, and safety standards are met
- Train, coach, and support crew leaders and field staff
- Lead a safety-first culture across all operations
- Enforce OSHA standards, company safety policies, and best practices
- Oversee safe handling and application of fertilizers, herbicides, and weed control products
- Conduct safety meetings, job hazard assessments, and incident follow-ups
- Optimize routing, labor allocation, and scheduling to maximize productivity
- Monitor labor hours, equipment usage, and job costs
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability
- Oversee lawn maintenance services including mowing, edging, trimming, and seasonal cleanups
- Manage lawn application programs (fertilizer, weed control, and turf health)
- Supervise hardscape projects including patios, walkways, and retaining walls
- Oversee plant installations including trees, shrubs, perennials, and sod
- Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding service execution
- Conduct site walk‑throughs and address client concerns promptly and professionally
- Support client retention through consistent service quality and communication
- Assist with estimating and bidding for new maintenance and installation projects
- Participate in site visits and scope development
- Support smooth transitions from awarded bids to field execution
- 5+ years of landscape operations experience with supervisory responsibility
- Strong knowledge of turf maintenance, lawn applications, hardscaping, and plant installations
- Proven ability to manage multiple crews and job sites
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license; pesticide/applicator license preferred (or ability to obtain)
- Bilingual is a plus
