Automotivetechnician

Our busy shop is seeking an experienced technician to join our automotive service team. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles, including oil changes, fluid checks and fills, tire rotations, light bulb replacements, and inspections. This position requires some knowledge of the mechanical workings of different types of automobiles. Previous experience as a lube technician or automotive technician is desired.

• Clean the shop floor and all work areas, and ensure all safety regulations are followed
• Record all service operations, as well as any installations or replacements of parts
• Drain and refill engine oil, as well as inspect and top off transmission, brake, power steering, and coolant fluids, on customer vehicles
• Track oil inventory and part usage, place reorders as necessary to keep the shop stocked
• Advise customers on additional recommended services based on mileage and vehicle history

• Strong customer service skills
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Comfortable using car lifts, jacks, and other garage equipment safely
• Lube technician experience of one or more years or related automotive experience is preferred
