• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680-$1770

• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience in a Med/Surg or medical-surgical setting
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
• BLS Certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS Certification required prior to first shift
• Strong assessment, planning, and communication skills
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) documentation preferred
• Travel nurse experience and flexibility with fast-paced hospital environments preferred

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission in accordance with med/surg nursing standards
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate in an acute care hospital setting
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the EMR
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from admission; deliver patient education and clinical support
• Communicate changes in patient status to the care team to ensure continuity of care across shifts
• Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
• Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hospital policies, infection control, and quality standards
• Participate in team-building activities and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment
• Maintain professional growth through continuing education, certifications, and self-study in medical-surgical nursing
