Registered Nurse; RN Unit Supervisor Adolescent Psychiatry

Overview

Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a passionate and dedicated RN Unit Supervisor to join the Adolescent Psychiatry Unit on the day shift. This is a full-time position with a 3 x 12-hour shift schedule (7:00 am to 7:30 pm). We welcome acute care Registered Nurses who are enthusiastic about working with the psychiatric patient population.

• Performs biopsychosocial assessments on patients
• Provides medications and treatments to patients
• Serves as a resource for patients and families regarding medical questions
• Develops plan of care
• Works with the interdisciplinary team to assist patients to meet treatment goals
• Reports to the Clinical Director

• Certification - Basic Life Support;
  Completion of a revised Charge Nurse workshop within 3 months of hire
• Licensure - Licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Experience - 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Education - Bachelor''s Degree in Nursing (or Associate''s Degree RN within 1 year of completing their BSN)

• 2-3 years previous inpatient psychiatric experience preferred
• Previous charge/leadership experience preferred
• Previous department council/committee experience preferred
