Job Description

Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking an RN Fellow (experienced nurse new to the NICU specialty) to join the NICU. The fellowship begins on May 11, 2026 and offers a full‑time schedule (3x12 shift) with rotating day and night shifts (6 weeks day shift, 6 weeks night shift) or full‑time night shift. The RN Fellow will develop the necessary clinical skills to practice nursing in a competent manner within a specified service line, learning under the direct supervision of an experienced RN and through various training formats.

RN Fellow Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of registered nurse clinical experience.
• BSN from an accredited nursing school. ADN holders must complete a BSN within 5 years of start date.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required.
• RN license or eligibility to practice in Virginia.
• Proficiency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.

RN Fellow Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of current inpatient RN experience.
