Registered Nurse; RN Lactation Consultant

Inova Fairfax Medical Center is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Lactation Consultant to join the Postpartum Unit. This role will be full-day shift 36 hours/week. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance eligible.

• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN), must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• Experience: Required 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse for Critical Care units, 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care fellowship.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start. For Critical Care Units:
  Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support within 6 months. For Pediatric Units:
  Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months. For Infusion Center Units:
  Obtain chemo card within 3 months of hire.
• Licensure: Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license.

• Candidates who currently hold an IBCLC certification.
