WhatYou’ll Do
- Lead and manage a portfolio of projects and a team of communications professionals, fostering cross‑functional collaboration.
- Develop and execute sophisticated media campaign plans, ensuring integrated communications strategies for clients.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to effectively manage crises and strategically elevate issues when necessary.
- Act as a primary client interface, demonstrating self‑direction in interactions and decision‑making.
- Navigate client messaging nuances, media risks, and sensitivities with expert precision.
- Proactively mitigate and resolve media and client‑related complications.
- Contribute to business development by reviewing proposals and drafting statements of work (SOWs) tailored to client needs.
- Ensure team alignment and execution on SOW deliverables.
- Support the onboarding process for new clients in collaboration with upper management.
- Assist in the creation of impactful client messaging documents.
- Engage in initial discovery calls with key stakeholders.
- Maintain familiarity with essential institutional knowledge and stakeholder relationships.
- Proactively identify potential media risks.
- Champion the professional development and growth of your team members.
- Oversee the successful execution of communications strategies to achieve client objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, leveraging your deep understanding of client needs.
Must‑Have
Qualifications:
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent relevant experience in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
- 7+ years of extensive experience in communications and/or marketing.
- Proven ability to effectively manage teams and cultivate strong client relationships.
- Exceptional foresight in anticipating media, client, and team requirements.
- Demonstrated capability to skillfully manage and prioritize multiple time‑sensitive projects.
- Experience thriving in an integrated communications environment, fostering collaboration across teams to deliver cohesive client work.
