Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Falls Church, VA. (Remote within the Continental US but strong preference will be given to applicants located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.)

Position Summary: Government engagement and training specialists directly assist with and often lead training events, as well as develop training materials. They are central to building relationships with clients through the development of e-learning and informational materials, email communications, and in-person or virtual events. They help develop self‑guided learning materials and content, including training videos, presentations, and interactive web pages. They are also the first line of response for client questions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Engagement

  • Interact with government clients in person, over the phone, and through email to build and maintain relationships.
  • Identify and connect clients who could benefit from a mutual relationship.
  • Keep customer relationship management (CRM) platform up to date.
  • Manage account access to Tesla’s technical solutions.
  • Create informational and promotional videos.
  • Analyze client behavior metrics to identify promising outreach avenues.

Training

  • Maintain expert knowledge of all aspects of Tesla’s technical solutions to ensure proper training is given to clients.
  • Develop and build a training program under the guidance of the Director of Training and Outreach.
  • Conduct standardized virtual and in-person trainings of varying lengths and custom trainings tailored to specific government clients.
  • Create e-learning and other self‑guided training materials.
  • Update training materials as technical capabilities change.

Support

  • Answer clients’ technical questions and requests for support.
  • Troubleshoot for clients.
  • Identify bugs and suggest user interface improvements.

  • Executes high‑value projects with little supervision.
  • Works well under pressure and with short deadlines.
  • Has interpersonal skills that allow effective interaction with personnel at all levels of US and foreign governments.
  • Creates engaging written, graphic, and multimedia content.
  • Meets deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Is technical savvy—able and willing to learn new computer and web‑based applications.
  • Is comfortable briefing government officials at all levels.
  • Develops and documents new and better ways to get stuff done.
Required Qualifications
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working with the DOD or IC
  • Experience with APAN, Mil Suite, C2IE, EDA, or any MPE platform
  • Proficient with Clara

    KM software suite
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • 4 years of government/military experience
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience creating and/or editing e-learning videos.
  • Experience with customer service platforms like Zendesk.
  • Familiar with SQL

Salary: $65,000–$75,000. The starting salary will depend on the skills and qualifications of the successful candidate. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range.
