Junior Estimator – Interior Construction

A respected and growing General Contractor is seeking a Junior Estimator to join their team in the DC area. This company takes pride in its strong culture, quality projects, and people-first mindset. They specialize in interior build-outs, renovations, and tenant improvements within commercial, government, and multifamily sectors and are looking for a driven, detail-oriented professional eager to grow within a collaborative preconstruction team.

• Assist in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for interior construction projects
• Perform quantity takeoffs for interior scopes including framing, drywall, ceilings, flooring, finishes, and millwork
• Review drawings, specifications, and addenda for interior build-outs and renovations
• Support the solicitation and leveling of subcontractor and supplier bids
• Help develop budgets, scope breakdowns, and bid packages
• Participate in value engineering and cost analysis efforts
• Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure smooth project handoff

• 2–5 years of experience in estimating or interior construction (commercial, government, or multifamily preferred)
• Exposure to interior build-outs, tenant improvements, or renovation projects
• Strong understanding of interior finishes and related trades
• Familiarity with takeoff and estimating software preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
• Eagerness to learn and grow within a supportive team environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
