Position: Fuel Dispatcher / Computer Operator

Role Fuel Dispatcher/Computer Operator IV (DCO) is a full-time, permanent position at Naval Air Station (NAS) Fallon, NV. The DCO operates under the daily supervision of the Terminal Manager and dispatches fuel trucks/drivers, records fueling activity in the Fuels Manager Defense (FMD) program, and processes flight schedules to support daily staffing and flight activity for management review.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain the Fuels Control Center, including dispatching and communication with MOCC and expediter.
  • Follow all checklists and emergency procedures.
  • Refuel aircraft on occasion.
  • Collect data for inventory purposes.
  • Monitor fuel inventory management systems and maintain delivery schedules for keep-full customers.
  • Use dispatching software to plan daily fuel deliveries.
  • Monitor planning board to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Answer driver and customer calls regarding load requirements.
  • Analyze daily fuel delivery requirements; prepare and assign driver work schedules; maximize equipment utilization; route deliveries to minimize delays.
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues promptly.
  • Immediately report accidents, injuries, spills, security issues, unsafe conditions, or other incidents to the Health and Safety Manager.
  • Create and maintain a Safety Culture; ensure compliance with facility, company, state, federal rules and DOT regulations.
  • Maintain accurate fleet availability on a daily basis.
  • Prepare and submit required reports and documentation for local contracts and Versar Global Services standards.
  • Adhere to the Code of Business Conduct and maintain ethical behavior and integrity.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts to support 24/7 operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Two years of experience in a DoD fuels specialty or civilian equivalent.
  • Fuels military equivalent certifications.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an airfield Competency Card.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends.
  • Knowledge of FMD9 and BSME systems.
  • Experience with DoD 4140.25M accounting and inventory requirements.
  • Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Ability to document work progress and report repair status accurately.
  • Flexibility to work hours/days as needed to meet schedule.
  • Ability to pass required background checks (federal and civilian) and obtain a government CAC.
  • Valid Nevada driver’s license;
    Class A or B CDL with Haz Mat endorsement is a plus.
  • Team-oriented attitude with self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong multi-tasking, fast-paced environment handling, and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and carry up to 25 lbs; ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
  • Fluent English reading and writing skills for government guidance.
  • Successful pre-employment screenings including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen; comply with company drug/alcohol policy.
  • Authorization to work in the US or to be authorized by start date.
Compensation

Expected Salary: $33.82/hour

Versar Global Solutions provides the compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that the company believes it might pay. The company reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range and to offer additional benefits, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s status under applicable laws.

Location

The position will primarily be onsite at NAS Fallon, NV.
