Typical day and key responsibilities include:

• Proactively engage, connect and listen to customers by asking questions to determine their needs.
• Direct customers to merchandise; inform them about upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers, STAR card promotions while providing premier customer service.
• Maintain store appearance.
• Use a Point‑of‑Sale system to process cash exchanges, discounts, gift cards, credit cards, debit cards, count money and return accurate amounts to customers.

• Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties.
• Must pass a pre‑employment criminal background check.
• Previous retail experience preferred but not required.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred (experience not required).

• Customer Service – proactively engage and make a connection with customers.
• Directing customers and informing them about events, promotions, mobile offers, STAR card.
• Cooperate and build positive inclusive and respectful relationships; take accountability for own actions and outcomes.
• Maintain store appearance.
• Cross‑sell products and know store layout.
• Make suggestions based on individual customer needs; upsell products.
• Learn product features and keep up with trends using company tools and technology.
• Use a Point‑of‑Sale system to process transactions and perform paperwork, reports, reconciliation.
• Complete inventory processes; ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed; participate in periodic inventories.
• Adhere to assigned work schedule; complete work assignments; perform other duties as assigned.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; written and verbal; telephone etiquette.
• Basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Reasoning ability; ability to multi‑task, remain flexible, work in a team.
• Physical demands: constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, standing for at least two hours; stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders; lifting 25–50 lbs; indoors/outdoors.

Available to work a variety of hours which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
