Basic Qualifications
Requires minimum of 4 years hands‑on working experience in 5 or 7‑skill level USAF AFSC, CDI/CDQAR Navy NEC, or CDI/CDQAR United States Marine Corps, or equivalent on Fighter Attack Aircraft.
Should have 6 months of hands‑on F‑35 maintenance experience to include working experience and knowledge of Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) to include Anomaly Fault Resolution System, Customer Relationship Management, Joint Technical Data Navigation, Portable Maintenance Aid (PMA)/Maintenance Vehicle Interface (MVI) activities, Configuration Management and forms documentation and supply chain management activities.
Knowledge of Safety, Tool Control, Foreign Object Damage (FOD), Supply, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), Quality, and Security programs.
Desired Skills- An FAA aircraft and Power Plant Mechanic license is desirable.
- Experience as an On‑The‑Job trainer.
- Proficiency with LM’s F‑35 Nose‑to‑Tail maintenance concept.
- Two years’ recent (within one year) armament, explosives handling, and weapons loading experience as 5 or 7‑skill level USAF AFSC, CDI/CDQAR USN NEC, CDI/CDQAR USMC or US Army Aviation attack helicopter maintenance technician.
- Engine Run Certification, fighter aircraft crew escape systems (i.e. canopy and ejection seat), experience in fighter weapons loading and experience in structural repairs and low observable system maintenance are highly desirable.
You will be the F‑35 Aircraft Mechanic for the Aircraft Maintenance Team responsible for keeping the fleet flight‑ready and safe. This position is located at our Fallon, Nevada site.
As the F‑35 Aircraft Mechanic you will deliver high‑quality maintenance and repair to ensure every aircraft meets stringent safety and performance standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform maintenance, repair, launch, and recovery activities on F‑35 aircraft.
- Conduct inspections and servicing in accordance with Joint Technical Data and all applicable program guidance.
- Assign tasks and provide on‑the‑job training to other maintenance team members.
- Maintain and update aircraft records in the ALIS/CMMS and keep production staff informed of status.
- Support field‑level modifications and Time Compliance Technical Data (TCTD) actions.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position requires a facility with special access. The selected candidate must possess an interim clearance to start and have the ability to obtain a Final Secret Clearance. The position will require working first, second, or third shift(s). Candidates should expect to depart on temporary duty assignments with short notice.
Physical requirements:
May include certain military‑required health screenings and immunizations. Extended work hours. Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms.
